About the Role
Our software team is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a backend developer with strong technical skills. You’ll be part of a team of backend developers (currently 3 with the ambition to grow quickly), building infrastructure and cloud resources for Metabolic Software’s products. You will have the following key responsibilities.
  • Build awesome sustainability-related products using Metabolic Software’s tech stack
  • Help implement and guard backend-related processes
  • Contribute to architectural and design decision taken for future products
  • Help selecting technologies and creating technical designs for products
  • Guide and mentor less experienced backend developers as the team grows
Your profile
You have a solid background in building high traffic SaaS products and are passionate about sustainability and circularity. You like working proactively, helping the team to select the right technologies and approaches to solve development challenges. You are willing to learn and rapidly adapt to new technologies as our tech stack evolves

Requirements for this role:

  • Relevant experience in backend development
  • Professional work experience with building high traffic web applications
  • Familiarity with agile development process and test-driven development
  • Experience with python and SQL (this is required for this role)

Bonus if you fulfill any of the following:

  • Relevant experience in sustainability-focused products
  • Experience with any of the other technologies we are using
  • DevOps experience, especially understanding of how to operate a Kubernetes cluster and CI/CD pipelines
