This person should have strong analytical skills, experience with environmental datasets, and the ability to work with GIS, Python, R, and SQL. Applicants should be comfortable setting up research projects, managing datasets, and performing data analysis to support applied sustainability work focused on regenerative land use and circular value chains.

Collect, clean, and analyze spatial, ecological, and material datasets.
Perform GIS mapping and spatial analysis to support project work.
Conduct quantitative research and develop models for ecological systems and sustainability challenges.
Use scripting languages (Python, R, SQL) to automate and enhance data workflows.
Assist in the development of databases and dashboards for tracking sustainability indicators.
Project Support & Strategy (50%)
Translate data-driven insights into actionable sustainability strategies.
Support teammates in creating clear, well-structured reports and presentations.
Contribute to project design, helping structure methodologies and analytical frameworks.
Stay up to date on emerging data science applications in sustainability challenges.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Technically skilled – Experienced with GIS, R, Python, SQL, and data visualization.
Analytically strong – Comfortable working with datasets, performing quantitative analysis, and structuring research.
Knowledgeable in sustainability – Some background in environmental sciences, ecology, or related fields.
Comfortable bridging disciplines – Able to integrate scientific insights with data-driven analysis.

A structured thinker – Organized, methodical, and detail-oriented in approaching research and analysis.
Fluent in English – Additional languages are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, ecology, geography, data science, sustainability, or a related field.
Some experience with SQL databases and data pipeline management is a plus.
Previous experience in consulting, research, or sustainability organizations is beneficial but not required.
